Seats are angled for maximum comfort.
We purchase sustainably sourced wood from the historic Hoffmeyer's Mill near Stratford Ontario. Currently we have Maple, Cherry & Pine. The Pine benches come painted in a solid colour or in an economical unfinished option. All of the painting is done by hand, no spraying or other environmentally damaging methods are used.
The hardwoods; Maple and Cherry, are beautifully grained woods highlighted with a coat of wood butter.
A few of the Benches & Cushion Sets can be seen together on the gallery page. Benches or Cushions can also be purchased separately. If you desire a particular bench or cushion set, act quickly, all cushions are limited edition as are some of the benches. Check our Store for a complete inventory.

custom ordered in any size or colour at a small additional cost.

In June of 2018, Barb Walton and Steve Balla moved to the South Bruce Peninsula. We are fulfilling our dream of working on sustainable products, together, from our home. Our goal is to make products which tread softly on the earth, are well made, beautiful to look at, and serve to enhance the lives of those who purchase them.
Barb has an extensive background (17 yrs.) in colour consultation and the application of specialized finishing techniques. Steve has been a carpenter for more than 35 yrs. & is a self-taught furniture maker influenced by a course in Furniture Design at Sheridan College. Steve is making the benches & Barb is making the cushions here in our Home Studio. As every bench, cushion set, drum bag or Beeswax Wrap is created individually, they are all truly unique. Our love and creativity is present in all we make. |

Recently moved north of Wiarton (Colpoy's Bay) and are now sourcing our wood; Pine & Cedar, locally.
Our benches have come in an unfinished Canadian Pine. However since relocating we are now making benches from local Cedar as well ! What a wonderfully fragrant wood.
